Multicultural- Mysterious Tales of Japan
The book Mysterious Tales of Japan, by Rafe Martin, tells different tales of Japanese descent. The author introduces himself and his passion for Asian literature in the beginning of the story. This book includes 12 translations of Japanese folk tale. Each story has one canvas style painting found towards the end of each story. The illustrations capture the main idea of each tale. The pages the illustrations are on are a different texture than the rest of the book. The colors are warm yellows, reds, and others that are typically associated with Asian culture.
